The Judy LaMarsh Fund is the living legacy of a remarkable Liberal politician, one of the most distinguished women in Canadian history. As Canada’s first woman federal Liberal cabinet minister, she ushered in some of the most progressive legislation of the 1960s.

Founded in 1984, and named in tribute to her, the Fund provides financial support to federal women Liberal candidates. Money is still one of the major barriers facing women who would like to run for Parliament. Even today in the 21st century there are still too few women in the House of Commons. We mean to change that. The board and thousands of generous donors are working hard to even the odds.
